To aid our city park planning partners, The Trust for Public Land created a geodesign application called the "Park Evaluator".
Park Evaluator is an online tool for city park planners and managers to create scenarios where new parks can be sited and ParkScore® metrics can be updated. The tool allows users to sketch in new parks, upload shapefiles of potential parks or select parcels that could become parks. ParkScore® geoprocessing models run in the background to calculate the 10-minute service area and demographic breakouts on who would be served by new parks or new access points to existing parks. Alternative scenarios can be compared in order to make the best informed decisions about new investments in park systems.
Use this tool to simulate adding parks to your city, and see the results. To inquire, email ParkScore Project
